in which slowbeef bans somebody from something awful for nothing else than using the phrase “intriguingly moe”

what the heck

SA is like the kind of people who are cool and funny but are actually massive assholes

It’s things like this that make me laugh when people say “stop whining about the paywall, just pay for a something awful account”

yeah like I would ever give money to these douchebags, he literally said he was going to get the paywall put up just because this one guy said “intriguingly moe” what a fucking dick

i will be so happy when the anime comes out and people can actually experience dr without having to wade through the anus of somethingawful

lol @ people in here talkin shit about slowbeef

he’s a mod and he has rules to follow and one rule on SA is that you’re not allowed to use stupid catchphrases or memes or anything like that

anime fandom terms like “moe” and “yandere” are included in that

brook knows what’s up

slowbeef is a champ and the guy who got banned clearly violated the rules which ANYONE can read.

In being strict about their rules they prevent SA from becoming a cesspool of early teen otakus.

Exactly. The forum clearly states its rules and STRICTLY abides by them and as a result it has produced quality content for years without collapsing in to shit.

The only thing I’d do differently is be a bit less cankerous about it. Cankerous is never called for in instances of simple annoyance, being more professional about his job could save himself and SA a lot of face and would really be the more politically smart thing to do. I guess I agree a bit with both sides, I think that what he’s doing is entirely justified, but I think he acts like a middle school 4chan user.

I mean that’s slowbeef he’s just a royal asshole about things but he does his moderation job well. Lowtax, the actual owner, is a little more chill than he is.

Idk what SA is, but just wanted to comment that can’t some terms like ‘moe’ and ‘yandere’ be used to describe a sort of character cliche/type more so than just weeb-speak at this point?

Also yeah slowbutts is an ass, be dignified about shit slowbuttmunch.

General Billy Mitchell is very much a thing that I am interested in.

oh wow from what i’m reading he sounds like a badass

He is, he’s essentially the reason we have the Air Force, but the Government didn’t like the idea of ‘AVIATION, HA!’ so they drove him out of the military by giving him desk jobs and shit to make him leave.
Doolittle came in and finished what he started and helped show that aviation was really useful for war in WWII.

that’s pretty fuckin awesome actually

Aviation and Military history are pretty much the best, Aviation had to go through a lot to get recognized as an actual method of fighting for war- and it was honestly thanks to the German’s using their planes heavily in WWII that opened everyone’s eyes, and the Doolittle showing the uses of planes in the Pacific for the USA to jump on board. The Pacific Theater is really interesting, especially in the Japanese’s tactics (or lack there of) and all the controversies that went down involving them.

so billy mitchell pushed for aviation but doolittle got the credit for it

SORTA- but Doolittle was a student of Mitchell’s and really followed him through and through. The government tried to push Doolittle around too, but after he showed them how useful planes would be for the pacific. He led the Doolittle Raid on Japan.
