Seriously, god bless. I currently get paid $8 an hour, while rent for a LOFT in this area would take up a full paycheck of mine. And then some. I’ve noticed so many people stuck with their parents because their PARENTS forced them into that situation. My mother sabotaged my finding a job and pulled me down so I’d be there to support her, I’ve seen a mother rely her full family support on the paycheck of her daughter, I’ve seen parents bribe their kids into staying in their house, I’ve seen parents so connected and attached to the idea of having a kid always in the house. I can’t go to college out of fear of debt, and I was raised being told to NEVER get a credit card and now I have no credit to get an apartment. Everywhere I look I see our generation getting blamed for the fact that we’re trapped, and I’m really sick of it. God bless Colbert.

They give no fucks about sexism, all they want is to be assured that it’s only ”a tiny fraction of men” that is the problem, that they are not part of it, and therefore they don’t have to question anything about themselves. 

Or you know, they’re really tired of being lumped together in a stereotypical majority similar to how you shouldn’t make stereotype’s of POCs and women, and as soon as one’s made all hell breaks loose. You shouldn’t assume with guys either, two wrongs don’t make a right, and hell- you don’t know who may be trans* and understand the oppression that women go through and have dealt with it themselves. You don’t know things, and it’s really discouraging to have everyone tell you that all men are pigs, because you’re a man so you must be a pig.

I remember my interview with my boss I thought he was gay and going to not give me the job because I was tacky.
