PSA: Cosplay Props.

I just want to do a quick PSA and then I’ll go back to being fluffy and happy. I just ran into this a lot.

Guys, don’t touch cosplayer’s props.

Seriously, don’t do it.

Some props you have to be very careful with, and some are not fragile but can be marked easily, or chipped, or cost a lot to make/make usable. As a rule of thumb, just don’t touch other cosplayer’s props unless they give you explicit permission. I don’t care how cool it is - some people spent hours and hours on these and they could be destroyed by someone just not knowing how to hold it right. I know it’s tempting because it’s cool or interesting or mysterious - but, please, resist.

Ask first.

And if you ask and they say no, for God’s sake, don’t keep trying.

Pretty much all cosplayers are really friendly, but some of us also happen to be extremely paranoid about our props. Please respect that. That’s all.
